Verdi, the King of Melody
''Verdi, the King of Melody'' ((イタリア語:Giuseppe Verdi), also known as ''The Life and Music of Giuseppe Verdi'' and ''Verdi'') is a 1953 Italian biographical drama film directed by Raffaello Matarazzo. It is based on real life events of the composer Giuseppe Verdi. The film was a commercial success, grossing over 957 millions lire at the Italian box office.〔Gianni Rondolino.
